A Chef For You was founded by Head Chef Julie Norman Sousa, whose love for cooking began at just 12 years old. Her passion for culinary creativity truly took shape in her early twenties after attending a gourmet dinner club featuring a themed Mexican menu. Experiencing how flavors could be thoughtfully paired and layered—while letting high-quality ingredients shine—sparked a lifelong dedication to creating menus that are both exciting and beautifully balanced.
Julie is inspired by the challenge of combining flavors that complement one another while remaining interesting to the palate. She places a strong emphasis on cooking with the seasons, allowing local ingredients to guide the menu and influence each dish. Some of her signature favorites include rack of lamb with lemon risotto, slow-braised beef short ribs over creamy polenta, and oven-roasted salmon finished with a maple mustard glaze—dishes that reflect her commitment to comfort, elegance, and bold yet approachable flavors.
